What’s Up ELLA’s Sleeve?

The ELLA Foundation™ is currently at work on the following projects:

**ELLA is moving to Mississippi to open the first ELLA’s Place™, a community violence prevention and healing center which will offer support and education to those affected by violence and the criminal justice system, no matter which side of the crime scene tape our clients must cross to find us to begin to heal. ELLA’s Place™ will be staffed by paid and volunteer social workers, lawyers, teachers, psychologists, and advocates who understand, and can deliver, the four things everyone affected by violence needs to stop, cope with, and overcome the violence of their life: Empathy. Love. Lessons. Action.

** Continuing book edits and publication of How Now, Butterfly?, my memoir on the loss of my children.

**The creation of the first Campaign to End the Death Penalty chapter in Mississippi.

**The creation of a public digital database housing the visual and audio recordings of those affected by the criminal justice system of America for educational purposes.

**The creation of a web-bases series documenting the evolution of The ELLA Foundation & the life of Charity Lee & those affected by the criminal justice systems of America.

**The creation of a newsletter that will keep readers up to date on ELLA™ activities and include articles written by the movers and shakers of the human rights movement, death row inmates, families of the murdered and families of murderers, etc.

**The creation of a volunteer based victim advocacy program for the Homicide Division of San Antonio Police Department.

And that is only the tip of the iceberg! ELLA is only one year old! We have a lot of growing left to do. If you’d like to make a tax deductible contribution to help ELLA grow, you can do so here. Much love to you today!
