Projects

The ELLA Foundation™ is currently at work on the following projects:

**The creation of ELLA’s Place™, a community violence prevention and healing center which will offer support and education to those affected by violence and the criminal justice system, no matter which side of the crime scene tape our clients must cross to find us to begin to heal. ELLA’s Place™ will be staffed by paid and volunteer social workers, psychologists, and advocates who understand, and can deliver, the four things everyone affected by violence needs to stop, cope with, and overcome the affects of violence in their life: Empathy. Love. Lessons. Action™.

** Continuing book edits and publication of How Now, Butterfly?, Charity Lee’s memoir on the loss of her children.

**The creation of a public digital database housing the visual and audio recordings of those affected by the criminal justice system of America for educational purposes.

**ELLA’s Voice, a newsletter keeping readers up to date on ELLA™ activities and articles written by the movers and shakers of the human rights movement, death row inmates, convicted offenders, murder victim family members, convicted offenders family members, children of both the incarcerated and those affected by crime, exonorees, etc.

**I Have a Voice, a therapeutic program for children with loved ones in prison, which integrates group counseling, creative art therapy, and mentoring to aid children with constructively coping and processing the feelings they experience regarding the incarceration of a loved one in a healthy and meaningful way.

And that is only the tip of the iceberg! ELLA has a lot of growing left to do. If you’d like to make a 100% tax deductible contribution to help ELLA grow, you can do so here.

Much love to you today!
